Max Payne 3 is Rockstar's Secret Game?

Enough speculation, lets look at some facts.

The last Max Payne game was released to critical acclaim but average sales back in 2003 but since then there has been nothing but rumors suggesting a possible sequel - even one suggesting it will be out as early as next year. The ending sequence in the PC version even teased at the idea:

“Max Payne’s journey through the night will continue”

In May of this year Take-Two Interactive were keen to emphasize that the Payne franchise was in their portfolio and that the series has sold over 7 million copies to date. Not bad for a series consisting of only two titles and a Gameboy release all back in 2003. Now what game that has sold over 7 million copies does not get a sequel?

What better time to launch a sequel than when a movie stirs up all the love for the franchise again? The film, due for release this October, stars Mark Wahlberg as the eponymous hero and has already been met with some positive feedback after test screenings. The game would likely be announced near the time of the film to ride off the back of the hype which 20th Century Fox are so keen to build up.

Yeah i played the recent one but i got confused in the game but if Rockstar are making maxpayne 3 i will get it because Rockstar make lots of fantastic games so am getting this game.

Max Payne games are crazy fun. They are so weird and good. If they make another one, I will be so happy.

There's a Max Payne movie coming out, and the game is supposed to release along with the movie.

No way, Max Payne the movie comes out soon, Its either August 21st or sometime in september.

That's just what I heard. That they were running simultaniously to increase sales for the game.

That would mean that the game was kept under wraps this whole time and was never leaked. That would be incredibly insane

Rockstar is a big company. They have like 6 different branches. Rockstar north are the ones who are working on GTA so i expect that they are doing just that.

Didn't Rockstar make GTAIV because in the credits at the start of the game it says Rockstar but it does'nt say Rockstar north.

Does it say Rockstar North? because i have'nt been on the game for a while now.

Oh thanks for telling me mate but in Vice City they put Rockstar North and Rockstar but mabe they changed it.

They don't look at it like that. It just says rockstar. They are just split up.

They could make 6 different games at one time if they wanted to because they're such a wide company. Don't worry about GTA V. There will be a GTA V. You can't just end a seires that is as popular as GTA.

Nick is right they will not end it. I'm sure they will improve from the last one as well. Hopefully the whole Microsoft DLC thing will not slow production on the new one down.
