Sony PS3 2.43 update needed to fix 2.42 firmware

I am to lazy to quote the article, but supposedly peoples PS3's are dying because of Firmware 2.42. Has this happened to anyone, and what are your thoughts on it.

Nah my PS3 is fine. But i think 2.4 screwed my 60GB. I had to go to BB and exchange it for a 80GB.

I have had no problems at all. I really havent played since I got 2.42, but it seems to be fine except that when I put a Flash Drive in, it wont load it and it freezes my PS3. But other than that, its fine.
